Your Training Path
Both Service Dog and Therapy Dog programs begin with Skills & Obedience Training and progress through foundational and advanced levels before moving into specialized training.
From there, training continues into specialized programs based on your goals.

Service Dog Specialized Training Sequence
A service dog is individually trained to perform specific tasks that assist a person with a disability, supporting greater independence in everyday life. These dogs must remain focused, reliable, and under control across a wide range of public environments.
Service dog training builds on:

Advanced CGC Training (6 sessions)
Following these prerequisites, service dogs complete:

ADI Public Access Training
Build advanced public behavior and environmental reliability (18 sessions) -
Service Dog Task Training
Train a service dog task tailored to your specific needs (12 sessions)
This program is designed to develop a dependable, task-trained team capable of working confidently in real-world settings.
Therapy Dog Specialized Training Sequence
A therapy dog is trained to interact calmly and appropriately with others in settings such as offices, schools, and healthcare environments, providing comfort through structured, well-managed interaction. These dogs must be predictable, well-mannered, and confident in a variety of environments.
Therapy dog training builds on:

Following these prerequisites, therapy dogs complete:

Limited Public Access Training: Build calm, controlled behavior in appropriate public settings (12 sessions)

Therapy Dog Advanced Skill Training: Develop appropriate social interaction, responsiveness, and reliability (12 sessions)
