Fundamentals: Basic Skills & Obedience
Build a strong foundation for real-world behavior with this comprehensive 12-week program, ideal for dogs six months and older.
Your dog will learn the Five Fundamental Skills every dog and owner should know—Name, Sit, Down, Come, and Stay—developing clear communication and reliable responsiveness to both voice commands and hand signals using Heeli’s science-based SAFE Training Method.
From there, you’ll progress to comfortable, controlled leash walking. Master the Five Leash Skills—Leash-Up, Shadowing, Loose-Leash Heel, Leave-It, and Wait—and learn how to guide your dog with confidence using Heeli’s Four C’s of Good Leadership.
This program is designed to build not just skills, but reliable behavior that holds up in everyday life.
Advanced Canine Good Citizen Training
Prepare your dog to earn the Canine Good Citizen (CGC) Certification from the American Kennel Club (AKC) while strengthening reliability in real-world environments.
This program builds on your dog’s foundational skills, improving responsiveness to core behaviors—Name, Sit, Down, Come, and Stay—across increasing levels of distraction. You and your dog will develop the consistency and control needed for everyday situations as well as public settings.
We will also prepare you to confidently complete the ten CGC test items, reinforcing polite behavior, calm handling, and responsible ownership.
This course also serves as the next step for those interested in progressing toward service or therapy dog training.
Heeli Puppy Foundations
In this six-week course, you will build the habits and skills your puppy needs for a lifetime of real-world success.
This foundational program for dogs age 3-6 months focuses on early development, socialization, and environmental adaptation, helping your puppy grow into a confident, well-adjusted dog. You’ll begin teaching basic skills while establishing clear communication and positive routines from the start.
We also address common puppy challenges such as mouthing, chewing, crate training, and potty training—guiding you through practical, effective solutions that work in everyday life.

Begin by booking an initial assessment. During this session, we’ll get to know you and your dog, discuss your goals, and recommend the training plan that best fits your needs.
If you choose to enroll in training, your assessment is free.
Program fees are due at enrollment. Discounts are available when enrolling in multiple programs or with multiple dogs.
Enrollment Requirements
Dogs must be in good health and up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations, including Rabies and DHPP. Puppies under four months of age are exempt from Rabies vaccination but must have all other age-appropriate vaccines.
Dogs with a history of aggression, reactivity, fearful behavior, or anxiety should co-enroll in our behavior solutions programs, including CALM (Canine Aggression) or CARE (Canine Anxiety).
